Project Background / Scope of Work

Pipeline for delivery of Slurry from the mining site (Nickel) close to Moramanga to the Toamasina (Tamatave) port for processing, with associated water and disposal lines.


Client: SNC Lavalin

Project Scope:

     • Main line, mine Toamasina Processing Plant (24”, CS, 219 KM, Ext. FBE coated)

     • Freshwater Supply from Mangoro River Mine (24”, CS, 30 KM, Ext. FBE coated)

     • Freshwater Supply from Ivondro River Processing Plant (30”, HDPE, 5.8 KM)

     • Processing Plant Tailing Lines

         1. To dam: 28”, CS, 10.5 KM, Ext. FBE coated, Internally-lined HDPE (pulled pipe)

         2. Within dam: 32”, HDPE, 3.5 KM

         3. Dam to Ocean: 36” 32”, HDPE, 14.7 KM onshore, 1.5 KM Offshore Locations and Roles

     • PR office in Antananarivo

     • Main office in Tamatave

     • Camp @ AR 7

     • Moramanga offices

     • PMV and Stores – AR17

     • Camp Facilities: Telephone Booth, Camp offices, recreation, security gate, Laundry, and some senior accommodations. All those facilities must have telephone and network facilities.
